My Style: Thrifted Vintage Vest

*Vest: Vintage, Thrifted; Shirt: Old Navy; Jeans: Old Navy; Boots: Gianni Bini; Purse: Vintage, Thrifted; Necklace: Vintage Thrifted

Once a week we go to Pierpont's for drinks and exploring in Union Station which is a main attraction here in our beloved Kansas City.  We love the historic atmosphere and always talk about how beautiful it is even though we see it every single week. I wore this last Friday night while there with my husband (I wish he would let me take pictures of him--he's way cuter and a much better dresser).

And speaking of Kansas City.  I just saw an article on USA Today about the 2012 Top Destinations.  The only U.S. city to make the list? You guessed it. Good ol' Kansas City, MO!  At first I was really surprised (hello, NYC?) but after thinking about it, Kansas City is my favorite place to live so far and I always talk about how much I like it here.  I love all the little pockets of quirky neighborhoods, the architecture specific to Kansas City, fun places to eat, lively food and music scenes, the people we've met here over the past 2 1/2 years, it's central location, and it's just the right size-15 minutes to get anywhere pretty much.  I'm thankful to call this place home and we plan to spend the rest of our lives here (Lord willing, of course).
